LKF prezidentu išrinktas Mindaugas Balčiūnas

Šiandien Krepšinio namuose Kaune vykusioje ataskaitinėje ir rinkiminėje Lietuvos krepšinio federacijos konferencijoje šalies krepšinio federacijos prezidentu išrinktas Mindaugas Balčiūnas. Juo Mindaugas Balčiūnas bus ateinančius ketverius metus.

Mindaugas Balčiūnas gavo 84 krepšinio federacijos narių balsus, o jo oponentas Robertas Javtokas - 63. Konferencijoje dalyvavo 148 balso teisę turintys krepšinio federacijos nariai iš 150-ties. Vienas balsavimo biuletenis buvo sugadintas.

Pagal įstatus Lietuvos krepšinio federacijos prezidento rinkimuose balsavimas turėtų būti atviras, bet jeigu trečdalis konferencijos narių pritaria, kad balsavimas būtų slaptas - galima balsuoti slaptai. Už tai, kad balsavimas būtų slaptas balsavo 108 konferencijos nariai.

Naujai išrinktas LKF prezidentas Mindaugas Balčiūnas tęs darbus federacijoje, kadangi nuo 2021 metų jis buvo generaliniu LKF sekretoriumi, asistuodamas LKF prezidentui Vydui Gedvilui.

Robertui Javtokui šie rinkimai yra antri iš eilės nesėkmingi rinkimai. 2021 metais jis gavo tik 28 balsus, kai tuo tarpu Vydas Gedvilas tapo LKF prezidentu gavęs 77 balsus.
